Tap Water Awards 2006


The Tap Water Awards returns triumphantly to the Bongo Club again this year, in what promises to be the most talked about event to date. We will not only be celebrating original artistry in all its forms, but also Nestle-owned Perrier’s bowing to public pressure in its sudden pull out of the fringe. While Nestle still exists unreformed, The Tap Water Awards will continue to protest against Nestle and Perrier’s unethical marketing of breast milk substitutes, and impact on depleting access to water through both the ‘Water for Life’ event at Theatre Workshop on Saturday the 26th of August and the Awards themselves. Last year’s awards unearthed a real range of talented and unusual performers from the moving Sri Lankan ‘children of the sea’ to the dark comedy of Rob Newman. Book early to sample this year’s winners in a spectacular cabaret, and join us for a victory dance until the early hours.
